3/14/2020 – Carter COVID-19 Statement & Information
Carter will continue to be available to our clients throughout this period of adjustment to the pandemic.
Our firm has the technology and tools to continue providing services to all audit, accounting, and tax clients.
Carter’s professionals are equipped to provide services through quarantine scenarios should the COVID-19 pandemic escalate. The firm has a plan in place to allow staff to work remotely and to self-quarantine if necessary. Fortunately, advancements in technology allow many tax, audit, and accounting-related tasks to be accomplished remotely and in an efficient manner. Our goal is to provide the same high level of client service while respecting safety protocols to prevent spread of the virus.
Submitting Information to Us
If you have your information in electronic format, the preferred way to submit is to upload it to your client portal, which can be accessed at the top right corner of our homepage (CLIENT LOGIN). If you do not have a client portal and desire one, please contact Rufus Dollar at [email protected] to have one created.
Our offices are currently open for drop offs, but for paper documents you may also mail them to either location.
Please call ahead to confirm hours and availability if you are dropping off documents in person.
Receiving & Signing Tax Returns and Financial Statements
Carter utilizes SafeSend, an online tax return delivery system to deliver and sign/execute tax returns. If you have internet access and a smartphone, tablet, or computer, receiving your return via SafeSend is quick and efficient. As in prior years we encourage returns to be delivered in this manner when possible and will contact you when your return is ready. Returns that are required to be, or preferred to be, on paper will be mailed out prior to applicable deadlines.
Appointments/Contacting Us
All of our staff will continue to be available by phone at the same main phone numbers. We also have the capability for one-on-one web conferences for more involved conversations and information sharing. If you have an internet-connected computer or smartphone with a camera, our teleconferencing system is an available option, on request. If you have a meeting scheduled, or desire one, we offer telephone or teleconference as an alternative to an in-person meeting.
