About Rob
Rob has over 35 years of business experience and has been in public accounting since 2011. He and his brother Rich started Carter in 2011 with the intention of creating a business that made him look forward to going to work each day. As Treasure & CFO, Rob is responsible for the firm’s internal infrastructure that allows Rich and the other professionals to better serve the clients.
Prior to Carter, Rob spent the majority of his career within the accounting departments at various financial services institutions. He started at IRM Insurance Services, proceeded to BB&T, and then Bank of America just prior to starting Carter. There was one stop in between at the not-for-profit Alexander Youth Network, which was easily the most rewarding experience of his career. Each of these roles laid the groundwork to help him create an environment of collaboration, teamwork, and respect at Carter.
Beyond work, Rob is a big Clemson fan and enjoys watching the Tigers play on Saturdays in the fall. He also enjoys light yardwork, cooking out, and summer vacations at the beach.
