Richard is the President and CEO of Carter and has more than 35 years of experience in attest, tax and business advisory services. His focus is with large multi-state entities, closely held organizations, motorsports, nonprofit entities, estate planning, transaction advisory and working with families/individuals. Richard has significant experience assisting CFOs and CEOs with risk and controls management, mergers and acquisitions, organizational structure, and succession planning. With a passion for helping others, Richard provides value to clients by listening to their goals and partnering with them to create an achievable path to success.

A native of Charlotte, North Carolina, Richard is an avid Wake Forest Demon Deacon fan who enjoys cycling, traveling with his family and working in his shop.
